Hello friend welcome to my site. First of all I will try to explain to you what windows command prompt is all about.
Windows command prompt is a very powerful program that perform some function that your operating system can’t do easily, it usually called MS-DOS (MICROSOFT DISK OPERATING SYSTEM), It is not a GUI window why because it not graphically design, no icons or button, it only uses commands that is how it got it name I suppose. You can force format your flash using this program and a lot more interesting programs. Also not only windows even Mac and Linux operating system have theirs, Linux operating system calls theirs command terminal.
To run it simple go to your C:\ drive were your operating system is installed by default, then Windows\ and then system32 you will see cmd now double click on the icon to run windows command prompt now. Below are some of it features
FEATURES OF WINDOWS COMMAND PROMPT
-1- WMIC CSPRODUCT GET NAME type that to display your system version and product name let assume you wanted to download drivers for a client system and you don’t know the exact product name you just type that and the name will be displayed
-2- TASKKILL Kill or stop a running process or application
-3- TIME use to set and display system.
-4- VER Displays the version of your windows either winn 7, win 8 etc
-5- VOL with these nice function you can easily view disk volume label and serial number.
-6- TASKLIST Displays all currently running tasks including services.
-7- SHUTDOWN easily shut down your machine.
-8- RECOVER help to retrieve readable files from an affected or bad sectored hard disk.
-9- HELP provides you with a lot list of functions available on windows command prompt .
-10- CONVERT with these function you can easily Convert a FAT volumes system file into a NTFS.
-11- CLS wipe everything on the windows command prompt window.
